Dick Huvaere’s Dealership
Richmond, Michigan
Dick Huvaere’s CDJR dealership transformed significantly by partially demolishing the existing building and completely tearing down four adjacent structures. The renovation was done in phases, keeping operations running. First, the Chrysler Showroom and sales area were revamped, and a new service zone was built. Next, a new Jeep Showroom, parts storage, and employee areas were added, linking the showrooms with the service sector.

The revamped dealership now features an expansive sales floor, updated Chrysler and Jeep Showrooms, a six-bay delivery area for new vehicles, and a luxurious customer lounge with a custom-designed fireplace. Employees benefit from an upgraded breakroom furnished with custom stainless-steel cabinets and commercial-grade appliances. The new service area includes 32 repair bays, durable clinker tile floors, and a full-service carwash facility. The exterior is adorned with Chrysler and Jeep branded aluminum composite panels, curtain wall glazing, insulated metal panels, and sleek charcoal-colored blocks.

Site improvements encompass heated sidewalks, six EV charging stations, and expanded parking areas. A memorial park dedicated to Dick Huvaere was created next to the dealership, featuring lush landscaping, vehicle displays, a waterfall, and walking trails. This newly refurbished auto dealership distinguishes itself by steering clear of any standard prototype design.
